DIY rain gutters
Can you make your own rain gutters?
I'm interested in creating homemade rain gutters for the second-floor balcony of my house, and I'd love to learn from your knowledge.
Can you please share your DIY rain gutter ideas and information on how to install them effectively?
Thank you

The only tip I have is making sure to keep them clean. Even the best gutters can cause roof leaks if you have an ice dam or leaves and the water backs up...been there. Good luck!
One major thing to keep in mind is that you'll want to install the gutters (whether diy or done by pros) is to insure they have a slight drop toward the downspouts so the water will drain and not sit in the gutter causing rust or stagnant water.
It’s a bit hard to tell from your photo where you’re looking to install them and where you plan to divert the water to. You might take a look at the gutters in home improvement stores and design your system from there. As Janice pointed out, they do need to have a slight pitch to them, not be level.
