1. Prepare the Base
Begin your homemade febreze recipe by placing 1.5 cups of boiling water into a clean and empty spray bottle.
2. Add Rubbing Alcohol
Next, add ½ cup of rubbing alcohol to the water. This addition serves the purpose of helping the spray evaporate quickly, preventing items from staying damp.
3. Incorporate Unstopables
Now, add 2-3 tablespoons of Downy Unstopables to the mixture.
These little beads are the secret to the fantastic, long-lasting scent.
4. Let It Sit Overnight
Decant the mixture into a clean spray bottle and allow it to sit overnight, allowing the Unstopables beads to dissolve completely.
5. Shake and Spray
Give the bottle a good shake to mix the ingredients thoroughly. Now, it's time to spray your homemade fabric refresher everywhere – curtains, bedding, furniture. Your entire house will soon be enveloped in a delightful aroma.

Cynthia Dianne Paschall on Feb 05, 2024Similar to my wrinkle release spray. I use fabric softener, water and alcohol. Shake, spray and in a few minutes it’s dry to wear. Makes a great bedding, furniture and drapery refresh spray, too.
