So sorry, it may be in the insulation. Baking soda isn't going to do it. Call the manufacturer and see what they recommend. You don't want to do further damage.

Get a charcoal filter they use in fish aquariums and put it in the refrigerator. It will eliminate the odor quickly with no mess or chemical smell s

Baking soda. Put boxes inside and sprinkle it on the shelves. It's the only thing I have ever heard about to get the smell out. It'll have to sit inside for several days. Oh, I think you will have to empty the fridge too.

when my freezer accidently got unplugged for a couple weeks, I washed it out as best I could, filled it with crunched up newspaper and used coffee grounds. I changed it out every couple days and by the end of the week it was a fresh as new. (I contacted a couple cafes and asked for their used coffee grounds. they happy to donate)

Wipe all the surfaces down with a bleach solution to kill any remaining bacteria-caused odors. Then, use the newspaper/used coffee ground recommendation from Bobbie in Bismarck.

Don't forget that most frost free refrigerators have a tray underneath where the condensation accumulates for evaporation... that may be contributing to the smell...
