After discovering the effectiveness of a cabinet cleaning trick from Rach Plus Five, I couldn't resist trying out another one of her brilliant ideas.

This time, it involved using a paint roller to wash the walls—an easy and quick method that caught my attention, especially with the added bonus of reaching all the way to the ceiling.

In this DIY adventure, I opted for a chemical-free approach, substituting Mr Clean (Rach’s suggested cleaner) with basic dish soap and warm water.

Armed with a paint roller, floor squeegee, and a microfiber towel, here's how I transformed my walls.

Taking a cue from Rach's video, I dipped the paint roller into the soapy water.

I then decided to stick it on a pole which allowed me to reach all the way up to the ceiling. (you can see the height I reached on my staircase).

I periodically returned to the sink to rinse out the roller and redip it back into the soapy water.

The roller was a champion at picking up dirt, making the cleaning process a breeze.

4. Drying

I completed cleaning the walls of my living area in a speedy 10 minutes, however I noticed the walls were quite wet and definitely needed help drying out.

So, to avoid any issues that could pop up with wet walls, a wipe with a cloth was essential.

I placed a dry microfiber cloth on my floor squeegee and dried off the walls.

This final touch not only ensured my walls were dry but also added an extra shine to the entire living area.

I love my microfiber mop. (Mop heads go in the washing machine.) It works just as well for walls, windows and mirrors as it does for the floor.
