How to Make DIY Holiday Snow Globes in 3 Easy Steps
Today, I'm going to show you how to make your own DIY holiday snow globes. This is such a cute way to display a favorite ornament or create a magical snow scene. Let's get started!
Tools and materials:
I had this cute snowman in my collection and thought it would be perfect for my snow globe.
To make this cute snow globe, you'll need a large clear, plastic ornament ball, faux snow, and a 3.5 to 4-inch wood slice.
1. Cut a hole in the plastic ornament
Start by using pointed scissors to make a hole at the top of the ornament ball. Cut a round circle out as shown above. Cut the hole small at first; you can always go back and make it larger if needed.
You want the hole to be just large enough to fit over your ornament.
Note: If your ornament ball is very hard plastic, you may need to use a Dremel to cut through it.
2. Make the base & add snow
Next, fill the ball with faux snow and hot glue your ornament to the center of the wood slice.
3. Assemble the snow globe
Add hot glue to the rim of the ornament ball to put it all together. Do this upside down so the snow doesn't spill out.
