Why is my soap dispenser pump not working?

So sorry this is happening to you, very frustrating to say the least. By not workimg you probably mean no soap is coming out when you push the pump down. The usual cause is there is air entering the system and it can't create a vacuum (priming the pump). This is usually where the stem(straw part) meets the pump.There is a small enough gap or some sort of disconnect there, hopefully you can check this and try to adjust it closer. That might work. If no luck I would return it to the store or try to replace the pump/straw part.

Check to make sure the plastic straw is fully attached to the top, isn't too long, and doesn't have any blockage. Let a little bit of air in, just in case you have a vacuum seal. Check to make sure the soap isn't too thick by testing with water.

Return it or else contact the mfg. of the pump to ask them what the problem is - sometimes it is as simple as replacing the plastic or metal pump that goes in the soap dispenser - try unclogging it with by running hot water through the pump

You've already been given things to try in previous answers. If none of them work, you can buy replacement pumps on Amazon.

Be sure that you have enough soap in the base so that the straw portion goes below the level of the soap.

Hi Sarah, hope this helps you out. First open it and take the straw off and check for blockages, you can rinse the soap off and blow through it to do this. If you know the dispenser is not clogged with solidified soap, unscrew the pump and make sure the tubes are all attached properly. Also check to make sure the pump is primed. You can prime the pump by pressing several times to get the soap into the tubes. Check for air bubbles in the line. You can get the air bubbles out by pressing and releasing the pump and discarding excess soap.

Hi there, hopefully its a case of a blockage and, perhaps, soap that is a little too thick to come out right. I would wash out thoroughly with really hot water and then fill with hot water and see if it works then. The straw is very important, it can't have any holes in it and it must be affixed completely. Hope that helps! I purchased three foaming soap dispensers that screw on the top of mason jars and right out the package one of them NEVER worked right, I finally just replaced it - so annoying!

Return to store as some for some reason just won't work!

Could be full of congilled soap in the despencer head. Try pumping hot water through it.

Sometimes the straw isn't firmly placed into the pump and the suction can't build up to pump the soap. I would start with that. Unfortunately, sometimes the pumps just fail for no reason. You can purchase another pump top to replace it, but it might be worth it to just return it and buy new.

Since you recently bought this take it back to the store and exchange it for another that does work.

Unfortunately these pumps are just not made the way they used to be and they fail pretty quickly. Super frustrating all around, I know. Make sure the soap you're using is thin enough to go through first, then you can try a replacement pump.

Sometimes you need to turn/twist the top to open up the pump itself.

I typically try to turn it around in hope it will work, lol.
